Memories
I cannot believe that Griffith Park is on fire!!!!!!!! I can remember back when i was a kid, my dad used to take us to the observatory. It's funny how i forget memories until i see the words "GRIFFITH PARK" on the TV screen with flames all over the place.... I hope they put that fire out, because now that i remember what wonderful experiences i had there with my dad, now i would like so much to take my son there so he can know where his 'Papa' took his mommy when she was little.................

Griffith Park was where I had my first ride on a merry-go-round. The observatory was just re-done and is fabulous. I've heard it's in no danger and you will have a wonderful time when you take your boy there. And yes, it will bring back many wonderful memories for you. That's one of the best things about being a parent!
I went to my first "Love In" at GP. You could have let me know you blogged...gawd forbid you visit my blog step-daughter.
I have the fondest memories of Griffith Park, the observatory and the zoo! I was sick to see it on fire. I'm glad it wasn't too badly damaged by the fire. I grew up going to Griffith Park and, like you, hearing the name on TV immediately brought back memories.
